How does social media impact my scores?

Your brand’s social media presence plays a major role in your overall brand health.  As marketers, we can use social media platforms to increase the frequency of our messages and the volume of our reach, but they also provide a unique opportunity for us to align our content directly with our audiences’ priorities and drive engagement and positive sentiment.  BlueOcean connects the signals from social media channels to a holistic view of your brand health.

In Brand Navigator, social media will show up in two important ways:

  1. First, your index score for social media metrics will ladder into your Blue Score and can be primarily found within the Familiar Factor, and Considered Subfactor.  BlueOcean assesses your presence across social channels like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter compared to your competitors, and weighs that influence into your overall BlueScore.
  2. The second type of information you can get from social media is from the content that you and your competitors share.  BlueOcean uses AI technology to assess the content in the channels mentioned above and generate important indicators of your brand health, like brand personality or how well your brand is aligning with the shared themes of your audience and competitive cohort.  You can explore this view by navigating to the Content Analysis section.
